                            HOW TO MAKE PARTITION   

 

 

 Hii guys this is TechWiki again with a new topic of making of partition in the                   computer. Well if your are a computer science student then it is very much                       important to now about the partition. The literal meaning of partition is division,               that is dividing the the storage according to our use. That is what we call                           partition.

    

  It is a very important part for the computer user to make partition, because the  partition    that already present in our pc is by our retailers or from where we bought the  pc. They    make partition according to them but if it is our pc then the partition must be by our          own. So these are the importance of making Partition.

 

 

Now we should focus on our topic "HOW TO MAKE PARTITION". Follow the steps to for making partition---------

 

1.Right click on my computer or this pc.

2.Choose the option "Manage".

3.A window like this pic will open.

4.Go "Disk management". Note= Always be careful in this window never click anywhere else because it can be dangerous to your pc.

5.After going to disk management a window will open, shown in the pic.

6.Choose the drive from which you want to make partition, for example drive C, D, or F. Here I will choose E drive, and right click on it.

7.After that you will see a option like "shrink volume", click on it.

8.After that a window will open it will ask you for the volume of the partition. Means of how much GB you want  to make partition. We will it smaller than the original one that is E drive. My E drive is of 260GB so I will make the partition of 100GB.

 

9.For that we need to remember that 1000MB=1GB, therefore 100GB=100000MB almost near to it. Fill it in the place asked and click enter.

10.Now your partition is ready but it is unallocated, you can see it at the bottom.

11.So click on that at the bottom with the black colour ,  you can see it in the picture, right click on it and select "New Primary volume" and click enter.

12.Then from here click only next and next and at last finish.

13.Now your partition that is drive G is ready with 97.5GB.  

                

                    HOW TO DELETE PARTITION

 

Remember that the partition that is taken out from the original drive will merge into it after we delete the new partition.

Here we have taken E drive as the original one and we have taken out drive G from drive E.

Now follow these steps to delete the partition---

1.Go to the manage as we have told in the beginning.

2.Go to the disk management.

3.Now right click on the new partition and delete it .

4.Now at the down side you will see that drive it written that it is unallocated.

5.Then go to the original drive that is E in my case and right click on it and you will see the option “extend volume” click on it and you will see that the partition that we have made is merged with the drive from where it had been taken out.
