In this topic we will discuss how we can boot multiple OS (Operating Systems) using a single USB (Universal Serial Bus) or in simple language we can say it a Pendrive. With a bonus tip.

So, without any further delay let’s get started…….

What Is VENTOY?

If said in a simple language it’s a tool for windows and Kali through which one can make a “multi boot OS” using a single pendrive.

This tool is very easy to use in Windows machine but its somewhat complicated in Kali linux. But as usual you don’t have to worry about that, I am here to solve all your queries. But for that you all need to support us and our community, just by sharing our content to your near and dear ones.

This tool is available on GOOGLE but it is difficult to choose the right one for this reason I will give you the link of this tool through which you can download it.

In this after combining the pendrive with this tool, we simply need to boot our system with that USB by putting the ISO file of the OS that you want to use in that pendrive. You can put multiple ISOs of the different OS but according to the size of the Pendrive. Suppose that I have a 32gb pendrive so, I must only 5-6 ISOs other- wise there will be no space to use it in the Kali Persistence.

Note:-- About “KALI PERSISTENCE” we will talk later in this article. But for your understanding, its just Kali Linux but in the pendrive using as a permanent tool with saving all the tools in that for the future “HACKS”.

Things Required:---

· A 32gb Pendrive.

· ISOs of the different OS that you want to use.

· VENTOY software, according to your system, if Windows then Windows version and if Kali then Kail version.

Note:-- This method is used to put multiple OS in one pendrive used to upload the OS in the Systems but due to my bonus tip we will use it for our Kali Persistence.

So, friends these are the requirements of this experiment if you have then we can began otherwise first get all those mentioned.

Steps To be followed For Windows Machine:--

Step1:- Download the zip file of tool by clicking here.

Step2:- Extract the zip file and double click on the file with the “.exe” extension. Your tool will run.

Step4:- Select your pendrive and click on the start button.

Step5:- After the process finishes your pendrive will be combined with tool.

Step6:- Now you only need to copy and paste the ISOs of the different OS that you want to use.(You need to download the ISO file and keep it at the place you wish). For copying the files “CTRL+C” and for pasting the files “CTRL+V”.

Step7:- After all these works you need to boot your system from that pendrive. As you will boot, VENTOY tool’s screen will come and it will ask you to choose the OS. At that place you can choose whichever you want to use.

So, these were the steps for the Windows system.

Steps To be followed For Kali Machine:--

Step1:- Download the zip file of tool by clicking here.

Step2:- Extract the zip file and right click in that location and click on “open terminal”.

Step4:- Now the terminal will be opened and you will type “ls”, to see the list of the directories present in that location. In that you will see “.sh” file.

Step5:- Then you have to give the executable permission to that file by typing “chmod +x” and that “.sh” file name with the extension. Then your tool will be in an executable mode.

Step6:- Now you only need to type “sudo ./and that tool name with .sh extension” and then you need to type “-i” after that you will give the location of the pendrive , which you want to combine with this tool. For the location of that drive you need to open its properties and there only you will get its location. And hit enter.

Step7:- After all these commands a process will run and that will combine this tool with your given pendrive, and that process will be over in one or two minutes.

Step8:- After this process ends you will copy all those ISOs in that pendrive as explained earlier. And then you will boot your system with that pendrive after that VENTOY tool’s screen will appear and it will ask you to choose the OS. At that place you can choose whichever you want to use.

Bonus Tip:-Now I have told in the beginning that this method is use to upload the different OS in the system. But in this bonus tip we will talk how we can use this method to use the KALI PERSISTENCE. For that you only need to put the kali Linux “live” ISO in that pendrive. After that on the time of booting you just need to select the Kali Linux and when it will open then at that you will choose “KALILINUX PERSISTANCE” option by this method you can save your work and tools for the future hacking.

Note:- This method is used by the biggest hacker in the world i.e. “KEVIN MITNICK”.
